Frequently Asked Questions

How do your Permanent Placement Services work?

HGI Healthcare works on both a contingency and retained basis depending on the level and scope of the position. Prior to recruiting for your full-time employment needs, a signed copy of our fee schedule and guarantee must be in place.

What is your guarantee for Permanent Placement?

HGI Healthcare has a 60-day replacement guarantee. If for any reason our healthcare professional leaves or is terminated for just cause within 60-days, HGI will find a replacement at no additional charge.

What is the average length of a travel assignment?

The average length of an assignment is 13-weeks. However, we can customize the length of an assignment to fit your needs, anywhere from 4 to 52 weeks.

Am I obligated for the full 13-week assignment if our facility hires a permanent employee, or our census drops?

No, HGI Healthcare offers a 4-week cancellation policy. If you hire a full-time employee or your census drops, a 30-day written notice is required. This will give us time to redirect our employees to a different facility, as well as give your facility time to orient your new full-time employee.

Is the traveler an employee of HGI Healthcare or the hospital?

All travelers are employees of HGI Healthcare. We provide our employees with liability insurance, workers compensation, health insurance and a competitive compensation package.

Can a traveler work longer than the original assignment, if needed?

Yes, if your facility needs additional coverage after the length of the original assignment, contact your Hospital Account Manager to see if our healthcare professional would be interested in extending the assignment.

What are your rates?

Please contact your Hospital Account Manager for specifics. Rates vary on geographic regions for travel assignments.
